Unborn baby saved after truck smash

A pregnant Hallam woman was rushed to hospital for an emergency Caesarean following a Hallam car crash.
The 24-year-old was the passenger in a car that collided with a truck about 2.55pm on Wednesday 19 April at the Princes Highway and Princes Domain Drive intersection.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the incident.
The passenger’s injuries were considered life-threatening but her condition was stable later that day.
Her baby has non-life threatening injuries.
The car’s driver, a 52-year-old Hallam woman, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The truck driver, a 50-year-old Tynong man, was not injured in the collision.
