A woman in her twenties was taken to hospital in a serious condition following a crash in Hallam this afternoon.
The Princes Highway is closed near Belgrave-Hallam Road and outbound lanes are heavily congested.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics responded to reports of a car and truck colliding on the Princes Highway near Princes Domain Drive, about 3pm on Wednesday 19 April.
They assessed the young woman at the scene and took her to the Monash Hospital with upper body injuries.
The spokeswoman believed other patients were also assessed at the scene.
A CFA spokeswoman said three trucks attended, alongside police, and declared the scene under control about 3.15pm.
