CASEY residents have their chance to have a say on the draft Autumn Place masterplan.
The framework will guide the future revitalisation of the Autumn Place neighbourhood activity centre in Doveton over the next 20 years.
The council decided at its meeting on 19 January to endorse the draft masterplan for public exhibition.
Damien Rosario, the councillor responsible for Cities and the Built Environment, said the masterplan represented an important step in the ongoing renewal of Doveton.
“The Autumn Place masterplan is a key resource which will guide the use, development and regeneration of the Autumn Place neighbourhood activity centre over the next 20 years,” Cr Rosario said.
“The draft masterplan responds to the community’s aspirations and needs and identifies projects that could be delivered now and into the future,” he said.
“These include upgrades to footpaths, lighting and streetscape, the town square, park and playground improvements and the delivery of a proposed family and community centre.”
City of Casey mayor Sam Aziz encouraged residents to have their say on the draft masterplan.
The council has organised a number of drop-in sessions in the first week of February where the community can find out more about the draft masterplan, what is planned and share their feedback.
Alternatively, residents can submit their feedback online, via email or by post.
The first drop-in session will held on Saturday 6 February between 1pm and 3pm in front of the Doveton Bakery in Autumn Place.
A second session at the same location will be held on Wednesday 10 February between 1pm and 5pm.
