PICTURES came to life at Endeavour Hills Library as part of its school holiday program.
Children aged four to 10 years old didn’t have to flick through picture story books to see some of their favourite and feared animals.
Instead they got an encounter of the cold blooded kind when Reptile Encounters visited the library.
Crawling with snakes, crocodiles and lizards, the library was buzzing with about 90 school children yearning for a pat and even a cuddle with the ancient creatures.
Jessica Broom from the library said the free event was a massive success.
“Questions from the children included ’is it venomous’, ’how does it poop’ and ’where do they come from?’” Ms Broom said.
The free school holiday program encourages families to book with more fun activities still to come.
